Gearing up for the Nov. 18 release of the Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet, publisher Condé Nast has announced it will make its entire line-up of magazines available on the new device, as well as the Barnes & Noble Nook Color.

By the end of November, Condé Nast will add 13 more publications to the Nook devices, including Allure, Architectural Digest, Bon Appetit, Brides, Condé Nast Traveler, Details, Golf Digest, Golf World, Lucky, Self, Teen Vogue, W and Wired. Previously, the only Condé Nast publications available on Nook's Newsstand were Q, Glamour, Vanity Fair and the New Yorker.

Print subscribers to the magazines will have free access to the digital versions, but Barnes & Noble will allow customers to purchase single issues or monthly subscriptions directly through the Nook's Newsstand app. Nook customers will have the option to enjoy a free 14-day trial of each magazine.

Condé Nast's decision to go all in on digital subscriptions is likely due to its early success on the iOS Newsstand. Three weeks after Apple released iOS 5, the first mobile operating system with Newsstand, Condé Nast saw digital subscription sales jump 268 percent. In addition to digital sales, Condé Nast also saw single issue sales increase by 142 percent compared to the previous eight weeks.

The digital frontier is really wide open right now, and this is the perfect company to be with to really take advantage of that, said Dawn Ostroff, Condé Nast's president of entertainment. I think if we can figure out what makes sense for the magazines, digital content is as exciting to the company as any other medium.

Only nine Condé Nast publications are currently available through the iOS Newsstand, including Allure, Brides, Glamour, Self, GQ, Golf Digest, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair and Wired. The company plans to launch another three titles in the Newsstand app store in early 2012, including Condé Nast Traveler, Bon Appetit and Vogue.

Condé Nast will also release its line-up of magazines on Amazon's new Kindle Fire, set to release on Nov. 15, which also has its own Newsstand app. Condé Nast will offer those customers who sign up before March 1 a free three-month trial of all of its publications.

Barnes and Noble will release the $249 Nook Tablet on Nov. 18, but the company is currently accepting pre-orders online.
