The companies that are expected to see active trade on Thursday are: GameStop Corp, Applied Materials, GAP Inc, NetApp, Salesforce.com, Ross Stores, Sears Holdings, J M Smucker, Helmerich & Payne and Intuit Inc.

GameStop Corp. (NYSE:GME) is due to report third quarter earnings before markets open on Thursday. Analysts, polled by Thomson Reuters, expect the company, on average, to report a third quarter net income of $0.39 per share, up from $0.38 per share in the same quarter last year.

Applied Materials Inc. (NASDAQ:AMAT) shares declined 2.49 percent to $12.16 in post market trading session as its first quarter earnings guidance fell short of expectations.

For the first quarter, the company expects non-GAAP earnings to be in the range of $0.08 to $0.16 per share and revenue to be in the range of $1.85 billion to $2.07 billion. Analysts expect the company to report first quarter earnings per share of $0.18 on revenue of $2.06 billion.

GAP Inc. (NYSE:GPS) is expected to report third quarter earnings after the closing bell. Analysts expect the company to report third quarter net profit of $0.36 per share compared to $0.48 per share in the same period a year ago.

NetApp Inc. (NASDAQ:NTAP) shares plunged 7 percent to $37.89 in aftermarket trading session Wednesday. Its second quarter net income declined to $165.6 million or $0.44 per share, from $175.4 million or $0.45 per share in the same quarter a year-earlier.

For the third quarter, the company expects earnings to be in the range of $0.36 to $0.40 per share on revenue of $1.52 to $1.61 billion. Analysts expect the company to report third quarter earnings per share of $0.63 on revenues of $1.64 billion.

Salesforce.com Inc (NYSE:CRM) is projected to report third quarter earnings per share of $ 0.31 compared $0.32 in the same period a year earlier.

Ross Stores Inc. (NASDAQ:ROST) is forecasted to report third quarter net profit of $1.26 per share before the opening bell on Thursday.

Sears Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ:SHLD) is expected to report third quarter net loss of $2.29 per share on revenue of $9.63 billion before markets open on Thursday.

J M Smucker Co. (NYSE:SJM) is expected to report second quarter earnings Thursday morning. Analysts expect the company to report second quarter net profit of $1.40 per share compared to $1.38 per share in the same period a year ago.

Helmerich & Payne Inc. (NYSE:HP) is projected to report fourth quarter earnings per share of $1.04, up from $0.77 in the same period a year-earlier.

Intuit Inc. (NASDAQ:INTU) is forecasted to report first quarter net loss of $0.12 per share after the closing bell on Thursday.
