Ford's new Shelby GT500 Mustang has surpassed all expectations, bringing with it a brand new supercharged 5.8-liter V8 engine that generates no less than 650 horsepower. The 2013 Shelby GT500 is expected to have a top speed of over 200 MPH.

The GT500 is most certainly the least-expensive way to get 650 horsepower under your hood, with pricing expected to be in the $60,000 range.

On the 2013 Ford Mustang and Mustang GT, Ford has gone with body-colored trim to give the pony car a more upscale look. Also, it has added a new black taillight panel that encases the flashy new LED taillights.

The 2013 Mustang wears a taillight design. Sleek new exterior comes with two new color options - Deep Impact Blue and Gotta Have It Green.

Ford has managed to squeeze an additional 8 horsepower out of the 5.0L V8 - bringing the power of the 2013 Mustang GT to 420 horsepower. There's also a 4.2-inch LCD screen that tracks braking, acceleration and lateral g-forces.

2013 Mustang GT models equipped with the 6-speed automatic transmission get the added control of Ford's SelectShift feature.
