For Gwen Stefani, to work on No Doubt's new album is her top priority at the moment.

The iconic lead singer has once again gotten together with her band mates Tom Dumont, Tony Kanal and Adrian Young to record a brand new album.

The band went back to the studio work last May of 2010 to prepare their sixth studio album. Stefani says she is set to pour out all her energy into it. Delegation is the newest lesson she learned when it comes to handling their band.

"I just make priorities of what's important at the moment," according to an interview she shared with Access Hollywood.

Despite her high hopes that they would finish come December of 2010, the 42-year-old singer shared that they stumbled upon a lot of factors that caused the delay of the release of the album. This was primarily because she had to juggle her time between being a mother, a singer, and a fashion line owner.

Given that Gwen has two sons, Kingston and Zuma, she simply has to take breaks during the process of their recording and hence she answers this when asked by everybody with their new album updates: "Because I have kids. I'm a mom! I have school, I have homework. It's a lot."

No Doubt's new album is set to be released the earliest next year.
