Miley Cyrus 'Not a Stoner': Kelly Osbourne Defends Singer [PHOTOS]
If Miley Cyrus is trying to separate herself from her past as a Disney TV star, she's doing an excellent job: Celebrity BFF Kelly Osbourne has had to come to Cyrus' defense yet again after the singer joked about being a "stoner" at her 19th birthday party.
"You know you're a stoner when your friends make you a Bob Marley cake," Cyrus said in a video leaked to The Daily. "You know you smoke way too much f*ckign weed!"
In the hours since the video went viral, Kelly Osbourne, Cyrus' friend and the host of her now-infamous birthday bash, took to Twitter to defend the "Can't Be Tamed" singer from those slamming her statements in the video.
"If Miley isn't recording/filming/touring, she works every day," Osbourne tweeted in a series of Twitter post after The Daily posted the video. "How could she possibly do all that if she was a stoner?"
Osbourne, 27, also defended an exchange where she and Cyrus joked about the singer allegedly smoking marijuana last year. At the time, Cyrus claimed the bong she was caught smoking contained salvia, a legal hallucinogen. Osbourne says the incident had become a long-running joke for the pair.
"Let me make something very clear: After Miley's salvia incident we started calling her 'Bob Miley'!" Osbourne tweeted. "The cake was also a joke."
She also lashed out against the anonymous source that called Cyrus a "pothead" and leaked the video to The Daily. "It makes me sick that Miley's so-called 'friends' would sell her out and lead people to believe she is someone that she is not!" she said.
Miley Cyrus' brushes with bongs aren't the only times the singer has been slammed for a controversial career move. The former Disney Channel star seems to be doing everything in her power over the last few years to divorce herself from her good-girl image, including a pole dance in 2009 and a barely legal photoshoot in 2008.
Whether or not Miley Cyrus actually smokes weed, the singer has certainly come a long way from her days as the star of TV show "Hannah Montana." The star now has nine tattoos, is best friends with the daughter of Ozzy Osbourne, and is currently joining British songstress Adele to record a Bob Dylan tribute album, covering "You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go."
Take a look back at Miley Cyrus' biggest career controversies, as she transformed from Disney Channel princess to racy teen singer.

2006: Disney Princess
Miley Cyrus' wholesome portrayal of "Hanna Montana" makes the TV show one of basic cable's highest-rated series. It also landed the former child star a four-album deal with Disney-owned Hollywood Records.

Former Disney Channel star Miley Cyrus found herself at the center of another “nude” photos scandal last month. The National Enquirer recently reported that there was photo of the singer flashing her left breast circulating among her inner circles. The alleged photo was supposedly taken in 2008 when the star was underage. The tabloid stated that in the photo, Cyrus, who would have been 16 at the time, is seen pulling down her white tank top and revealing her left breasts.
Miley Cyrus on the cover of Vanity Fair
In 2008, Miley Cyrus took some photos for Vanity Fair, which the singer said she thought would be "artistic." However, Cyrus later said she was embarrassed by the Annie Leibovitz photo.
"I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed," The Associated Press reported that Cyrus said in a statement through her publicist. "I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about."
2009: Pole Dancing at Teen Choice Awards
Miley Cyrus came under fire again at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards. During her performance of "Party in the USA," the scantily-clad singer danced on and around a pole on top of a platform called "Miley's Ice Cream."
2010: Dirty Dancing at "The Last Song" Bash
Adam Shankman, 44, is openly gay, but that didn't stop America from being traumatized when TMZ uncovered a video showing then-16-year-old Cyrus dancing provocatively with him and even giving the producer a lap dance.
2010, Part One: "Can't Be Tamed"
Cyrus got some negative reviews for her racy outfits in this hit single, but has defended the song, in which she portrays a caged bird. "The video isn't about being sexy or about who can wear less clothes," she told Buzznet. "It's about explaining the song and living the lyrics."
2010, Part Two: "Who Owns My Heart"
Cyrus' 2010 video for the single "Who Owns My Heart" prompted an official rebuke from the Parents Television Council. "It is unfortunate that she would participate in such a sexualized video like this one," President Tim Winter said. "Miley built her fame and fortune entirely on the backs of young girls, and it saddens us that she seems so eager to distance herself from that fanbase so rapidly."
Miley Cyrus stoner remarks
A year ago, Miley Cyrus was caught on video, just before her 18th birthday party, smoking bong. Cyrus claimed it contained salvia and not marijuana.
This year, the former Disney star seemed to have made a confession that she smokes a lot of weed. At her 19th birthday party, thrown by friend Kelly Osbourne, Cyrus introduced her birthday cake with Bob Marley’s face on it by saying: "This is amazing …You know you’re a stoner when your friends make you a Bob Marley cake — you know you smoke way too much f***in’ weed.”
2011: 19th Birthday Bash
Miley Cyrus has yet to respond officially or on her Twitter page about The Daily's leaked video. Osbourne has jumped to her defense, but the singer's only comment today has been to promote sales of a T-shirt whose proceeds go to her charity, The Miley Cyrus Foundation.
