Comedian Patrice O'Neal has passed away at the age of 41 following complications from a stroke, according to a report.

TMZ reported on Tuesday that the funny man, who suffered from diabetes, passed away on Monday night.

TMZ cited the Opie and Anthony show, which O'Neal was a regular guest on, as the source for confirmation of the comedian's untimely death.

Opie tweeted on Tuesday, Yes it's true that our pal Patrice O'Neal has passed away. The funniest and best thinker I've ever known PERIOD.

The Jersey native was known for Comedy Central standup specials, appearances on The David Letterman Show and the Chappelle Show, as well as The Office.

O'Neal suffered a stroke in October and was never able to recover.
