Britney Spears, pop star, mother, former Mouseketeer, has reached a new milestone in her life: her 30th birthday.

Born on Dec. 2, 1981, Britney Jean Spears grew up in Kentwood Louisiana, with a busy schedule that included children's talent shows, TV commercials and an appearance on Star Search. Her big break came in 1992 when she was hired to appear for one season on The Mickey Mouse Club, alongside Ryan Gosling, Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.

In 1999, two years after signing with Jive Records, Spears debuted with ...Baby One More Time, an album that propelled the singer, then 17, to instant stardom.

Professionally, the pop princess has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, thanks to albums like Oops!...I Did It Again, Britney and In the Zone. Spears is currently the 8th top-selling female artist of all time in the U.S., behind Reba McEntire, Shania Twain and Celine Dion.

Her personal life, on the other hand, has had some bumps and bruises along the way. Recall: her 55-hour marriage to childhood friend Jason Alexander; her marriage to Kevin Federline, who is also the father of her two young children Jayden James and Sean; her embarrassing performance of Gimme More at the 2007 MTV VMAs; her weird romantic relationship with the paparazzo Adnan Ghalib; her shaved head incident; her psychiatric ward visit.

Many of Spears' fans would agree that 2011 has been a great comeback year for the pop princess, who released her seventh studio album, Femme Fatale, in March.

Femme Fatale, which debuted at number one, became Spears' first album to produce three top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, including the number one hit Hold It Against Me.

Whether it's Oops!...I Did It Again, Toxic, I'm a Slave 4 U or her current single, Criminal, Spears has produced an endless number of hits over the years.

In honor of Britney Spears' 30th birthday, here are her 10 best music videos.

Happy Birthday, Britney!

10. Sometimes (1999)

Britney, her dancers, their matching white outfits, spying on a guy. What more could a music video ask for? More dancing. More spying. More shots of said guy running on the beach, with a cute dog.

9. Stronger (2000)

Britney made dancing with a chair look cool.

8. (You Drive Me) Crazy (1999)

Yes, that is a young Adrian Grenier (pre-Entourage) in this music video that has Britney walking through tunnels, baring her midriff (yet again) and dancing a fun number with her dancers. Melissa Joan Hart also makes an appearance (the song was for her and Grenier's romantic comedy, Drive Me Crazy).

7. I'm a Slave 4 U (2001)

All you people look at me like I'm a little girl, caused fans and critics alike to question Britney's newfound level of sexuality. To convince her critics even more, Spears dons a slinky outfit, complete with sweaty dancers and an impromptu group make-out session.

6. Toxic (2004)

Britney plays a secret agent in this fun video, as she poisons suitor after suitor.

5. Womanizer (2008)

Britney Spears dances in an office in one take, and doesn't wear clothes in another. What?

4) ...Baby One More Time (1998)

Before she made dancing with a chair look cool, Britney made dancing in a school hallway look fun -- only if you bared your midriff like her and her dancers. Little did Spears know, her outfit would turn into a popular Halloween costume in the years that followed.

3) Criminal (2011)

The music video for Britney's latest single is possibly her steamiest yet. Example: Spears is filmed having a shower with her real life boyfriend Jason Tratwick. Yes, shower.

2) Lucky (2000)

She's a movie star with millions of dollars, a mansion, adoring fans and dozens of helpers -- but she's the loneliest girl in the world. Spears sings the sad story of this Hollywood girl and at one point, watches her win an Oscar-like trophy (complete with sprinkles and paparazzi).

1) Oops!...I Did It Again (2000)

Spears channels her inner Titanic, receiving a gift she thought the old lady dropped into the ocean in the end. But the handsome astronaut went down and got the necklace for her. Spears' hair extensions, red suit and space-like dance moves makes her best video to date.
