U.K PPI expands in November

The United Kingdom released the producers' price non-seasonally adjusted index for November, where the PPI input monthly index expanded by 0.1% from the previous drop of 0.8%, above the expected 0.8% drop. In addition, the PPI input annual index expanded by 13.4% from the revised previous expansion of 14.3% from 14.1%, yet above the expected estimate if 12.9%.

The PPI output monthly index expanded by 0.2% from the previous and the expected estimate of 0.0%, while the PPI output annual index expanded by 5.4% from the previous 5.7%, also above expectations of 5.3%.

The core PPI output monthly index remained steady compared with the previous drop of 0.1% in line with expectations, while the annual index expanded by 3.2% from the revised prior of 3.3% from 3.4%, below the expected 3.3% expansion.
