Samsung Galaxy Nexus is coming to U.S. on Dec. 15, according to the latest rumor, which cites a Verizon store as saying.

Even as Android fans are waiting to hear from U.S. wireless carrier Verizon Wireless about the official U.S. release date of the world's first Android 4.0-powered (Ice Cream Sandwich) smartphone, Engadget reported that the handset will come on Thursday (only two days away), referring to a leaked photo of purported internal pricing guides of wholesale giant Costco. According to the latest leaks, Galaxy Nexus will be sold for $289.99 with a 2-year contract from Verizon.

As an authorized third party retailer for Verizon, it's not impossible for Costco to sell the handset before Verizon officially releases it, but it is improbable.

Phandroid also claimed that it has received a voicemail from a Verizon insider, who has confirmed that the Galaxy Nexus will indeed be available on Dec.15.

PocketNow also suggested the same, basing its prediction on the same internal pricing guides as Engadget as well as on photo of a computer screen (allegedly taken at a Costco location) that suggest that the handset will be on sale as early as Dec. 15.

Without doubt, there are many signs that suggest that Dec. 15 is the release date for the most-anticipated Android handset. But are they tell-tale signs? Only time will tell.

The features of Samsung Galaxy Nexus are as follows:
• Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
