"Pakistan is suffering acute shortage of power of about 5000 MW and to get over this, India offered 500 MW power to them," said Nasiruddin Sheikh, chairman of The Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry on Thursday here.

Sheikh said Pakistan is fighting terror and it is affecting the country's economy drastically.

"We have enough potential to grow but supply of raw material is affecting power production," he said.

"We are also in talks with other countries to solve the power crisis and buy some power from Turkey on rental basis. But this power is very costly," he said.
