ASUS Transformer Prime Available at Best Buy and Office Depot

There is some good news for those who are anxiously waiting to buy the Asus Transformer Prime. The device is now available at Best Buy and Office Depot.

Best Buy currently has the 32GB Grey model in-stock and is taking orders. Also, it appears that the 32GB version of the Asus Transformer Prime is available through Office Depot.

Asus Transformer Prime has already become the most pre-ordered Honeycomb Android-powered tablet in history. However, consumers who are looking for the 64GB model will have to look for other retailers offering this version of the tablet.

Asus Transformer Prime utilizes the Tegra 3 processor from Nvidia and features a super IPS display measuring 10.1 inches and 1GB RAM. It also offers impressive graphics through its display that has a 1280 X 800 resolution and a 149PPI pixel density. In addition, the 8 megapixel camera on Asus Transformer Prime has the capability of recording 1080p HD video.

Users seem to be eager to buy the tablet since ASUS has said that it will be unlocking the bootloader. As stated in their official press release, the reason it chose to lock was to meet the content providers' requirement for DRM client devices to be as secure as possible.

Also, representatives from ASUS have announced on Facebook that its Transformer Prime would be receiving an update with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich from January 12.
