ASUS will be launching two new models of the Transformer Prime at the CES 2012, the company has announced.

The company will launch a 7-inch tablet and a 10-inch high resolution model at the CES, according to NetbookNews.

ASUS is reportedly planning to launch two 10-inch tablets in the latter half of 2012.

The company had earlier disappointed many by announcing that it would not launch the 3G version of Prime. But now Transformer Prime 3G is expected to debut at the end of Q1 this year. As of now, there is no report on whether it will be supporting GSM/UMTS or CDMA/EVDO. Also there is no confirmation on whether it will be a 4G version with LTE or WiMAX.

Asus Transformer Prime has the Tegra 3 processor from Nvidia and features a super IPS display measuring 10.1 inches and 1GB RAM. Besides this, ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime has an 8 megapixel primary camera which will offer autofocus, LED flash and geo-tagging, as well as 1080P video capture. It benefits from Gorilla Glass which is known for its qualities of strength, scratch resistance and thinness.

Meanwhile, ASUS Transformer Prime has already become the most pre-ordered Honeycomb Android-powered tablet in history. ASUS provided their projections for the year, stating that they expect to sell up to 6 million tablets in 2012.
