Beyonce has given birth to a baby girl on Saturday evening in New York, a source has told the Houston Chronicle. Both are said to be doing OK.

Sources told the New York Daily News reported on Saturday that the pregnant singer was expected to give birth at Lenox Hill Hospital after checking into the upper East Side facility Friday night.

A hospital staffer told the Daily News that Beyonce checked in under the name Ingrid Jackson.

The baby girl is the first child for Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z who will be married for four years this year.

A hospital employee also told the New York paper that the couple allegedly rented the entire fourth floor of the hospital for a cool $1.3 million and several security guards were seen patrolling outside the hospital that night.

A worker at the hospital has also confirmed to the Daily News that a patient named Ingrid Jackson was in fact in a labor room.

Celebrity Web sites and gossip blogs have been speculating for weeks on Beyonce's due date. There have been several false reports over the Christmas holiday that Beyonce had given birth to a baby girl she named Tiana May Carter. A psychic also told MTV News that Beyonce would have given birth to baby boy, whose name will start with a J as a tribute to dad Jay-Z.

However, a very pregnant Beyonce was spotted dining out with her husband in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Christmas Eve. She was also spotted in New York last week with mom, Tina Knowles.

There is no word yet on the name Beyonce and Jay-Z have given to their bundle of joy.

Beyonce announced her pregnancy last August at the MTV Video music award.

But keep checking back with us as we will have more information soon.
