Monday night's South Carolina 2012 GOP debate featured five candidates for the Republican presidential nomination: former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, Rep. Ron Paul, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum and Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

The debate spanned topics from Osama bin Laden and the war on drugs to immigration policy and American unemployment.

In general, Romney was reliably but rather uneventfully present in the debate, giving reasoned and well-spoken answers but without much of the fire that seemed to animate the other candidates.

Paul, while drawing some boos from the crowd for his non-interventionist policies and frequently speaking over time, still won cheers by speaking of setting the income tax at zero, standing against the National Defense Authorization Act and calling for an end to the war on drugs.

Santorum held steady by sticking to his social conservativism, coming off a bit drier than the other candidates. Perry, despite stumbling a bit again on hard facts, made one of the stronger showings he's had in any debate, trying to chip away at Paul's military support and rally voters around his support for Israel.

Gingrich made a strong comeback bid, winning over the crowd and refusing to back down from his positions even when they entered controversial terrority like his statement that poorer children lacked a good work ethic.

But in the end, there was no clear winner in the South Carolina 2012 Republican debate.

Who do you think won the debate? And whom do you support for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination?
