The dream team did not frustrate their fans as the hacker team on Friday released Absinthe - the A5 untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4S and iPad 2, and in the same day they updated Absinthe to version 0.1.2-2 to fix some bugs.

So far, Absinthe is available only for Mac OS X computer, but the hacker community said the Windows and Linux versions are coming soon. The Absinthe, which is a GUI (Graphic User Interface) tool, supports iPhone 4S running iOS 5.0 and 5.0.1 (9A405 and 9A406), and iPad 2 Wifi/GSM/CDMA running iOS 5.0.1.

As the older versions of jailbreak did, Absinthe also has some bugs when users jailbreak their devices. But the hackers have been ready to fight against any bugs which stop users to jailbreak their devices. Actually, they made lots of tests to verify the process on different devices before Absinthe was released.

The first major issue is that the Absinthe webclip Error establishing a database connection. The iPhone Dev-Team blog suggested users to go to Settings, turn on VPN and wait instead.

Toggle VPN only after Absinthe says it's done, or it will not work, the blog added. VPN should error and then reboot soon. If it does not, rerun Absinthe!

The iPhone Dev-Team also said the OS X version of the CLI (command-line interface) is primarily to help us debug specific issues, but tinkerers might like to play around with some of its advanced options!

Meanwhile, the hacker community also offered further help, The French hacker pod2g tweeted.
