The Australian consumer prices index (CPI) for last year's fourth quarter retreated to 0.0% compared with the prior reading of 0.6%, yet it missed expectations of 0.2%.

Also, the annualized CPI for the fourth quarter war retreated as well, where it recorded a retreated reading of 3.1% compared with the prior reading 3.5%, and at the same time it missed expectations of 3.3%.
