Post-Market NASDAQ Gainers (CPHD, INFA, QLGC, ILMN, CIGX, DWA, STX, SIAL, SIMO, SGEN)

The top after-market NASDAQ gainers Thursday were: Cepheid, Informatica Corp, QLogic Corp, Illumina, Star Scientific, Dreamworks Animation SKG, Seagate Technology, Sigma-Aldrich, Silicon Motion Technology and Seattle Genetics.

Cepheid (NASDAQ:CPHD) shares climbed 20.82 percent to $41.50 in post market trading session. The company reported adjusted net income of $9.4 million or $0.14 per share compared to $6.1 million or $0.09 per share in the same quarter last year and against analysts’ estimation of $0.01 per share.

For fiscal 2012, the company expects adjusted earnings to be in a range of $0.55 to $0.60 per share on revenue of $333 to $347 million, while analysts expect the company to report net income of $0.39 per share on revenues of $333.30 million.

Informatica Corp. (NASDAQ:INFA) shares surged 6.66 percent to $40.83 in post market trading session. The company reported fourth quarter net income of $42.4 million or $0.38 per share compared to $34.6 million or $0.32 per share in the same period a year-earlier.

QLogic Corp. (NASDAQ: QLGC) shares surged 5.17 percent to $17.93 in aftermarket trading session. The company reported third quarter net income of $30.0 million or $0.30 per share compared to $50.3 million or $0.47 per share in the same quarter a year-earlier.

Illumina Inc. (NASDAQ:ILMN) shares gained 4.75 percent to $55.15 in post market trading session. The company stock plunged more than 4 percent in regular trading session on news that Levi & Korsinsky is investigating the Board of Directors of ILMN for possible breaches of fiduciary duty and other violations of state law in connection with an unsolicited merger proposal from Roche.

Star Scientific Inc. (NASDAQ:CIGX) shares advanced 4.73 percent to $3.10 in aftermarket trading session. The stock has a 52-week low of $1.50, a 52-week high of $5.35 and $399.76 million in market capitalization.

Dreamworks Animation SKG Inc. (NASDAQ:DWA) shares rose 4.02 percent to $19.66 in post market trading session. The company stock plunged more than 5 percent in regular trading session.

Seagate Technology Plc. (NASDAQ:STX) shares advanced 3.79 percent to $20.55 in post market trading session on news that the company raised its quarterly dividend by 39 percent and added $1 billion to its stock buyback plan.

Sigma-Aldrich Corp. (NASDAQ:SIAL) shares gained 3.13 percent to $70.21 in aftermarket trading session. The stock has a 52-week low of $56.18, a 52-week high of $76.16 and $8.22 billion in market capitalization.

Silicon Motion Technology Corp. (NASDAQ:SIMO) shares gained 3.11 percent to $21.58 in aftermarket trading session. The company stock slumped nearly 10 percent in regular trading session.

Seattle Genetics Inc. (NASDAQ:SGEN) shares gained 3.09 percent to $18.99 in aftermarket trading session.
