While the rest of the tech world is buzzing about the rumored Galaxy S III model that is reportedly being revealed at next month's Mobile World Congress, Samsung went ahead and revealed a new model of the Galaxy S called the Galaxy S Advance.
The Galaxy S Advance, also known as I9070 was first revealed in December. The new handset features a curved glass design that enhances the handling of the phone. It has a 1 Ghz dual-core processor, 768 Mb of RAM and up to 16 Gb of internal storage. There is also a microSD slot for further expansion. The Galaxy S advance will sport a 4 inch AMOLED display and a 5 megapixel main camera and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera. The Galaxy S Advance will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread software with Samsung's own TouchWiz interface which includes Samsung's Media Hubs and ChatON service. The ChatON service allows users to connect using phone numbers and provides instant messaging, group chatting and content sharing in multiple formats. The Galaxy S Advance will also feature Find My Mobile which will let users find their lost phone through the web and even delete the data in their phones remotely.
