Brad Pitt as Newt Gingrich? Actors Who Were Better Casted to Play Politicians [PHOTOS]
Newt Gingrich dreams of Brad Pitt playing him in a Hollywood movie one day.
When the Republican presidential hopeful called in to the Rich Stevens radio show Tuesday, he was asked what actor he'd like to play him in a film about his life.
"Oh, in my fantasy life?" Gingrich said in the recording, obtained by TMZ. "Brad Pitt ... why not?"
When Stevens joked, "Is it because you guys look alike?" Gingrich admitted there were a few differences between Angelina Jolie's boyfriend and himself.
"No, I don't look like him at all. He's thinner, he's better looking, he's younger. But you asked me if I had anyone who could play me in a movie ... why not go for Brad Pitt?"
We have trouble thinking of a director who would cast Pitt in a movie about the former House speaker's life. Newser's Kate Schwartz recommends Andy Richter, starring with Patricia Clarkson as Callista. We suggest Phillip Seymour Hoffman play Gingrich -- he was already a politician in George Clooney's "The Ides of March."
