Julianne Hough has a very good reason to tune into "American Idol" every week. The "Dancing with the Stars" and "Footloose" beauty gets to watch and date Ryan Seacrest, one of the most desirable men in the industry.

While Seacrest spends a lot of quality time on screen and in radio stations, Hough shared some details on how the two manage to scrounge in some private time as a couple, while the busy actress works on her upcoming movie "Rock of Ages," and stay sane under the glare of the Hollywood spotlight.

"It's a hard thing to do, especially when you're so caught up in your work and bettering yourself," she told Parade Magazine on Wednesday. "It does get hard because you're so focused on that, but I think at the end of the day you have to find a balance with what's really important."

Hough and Seacrest have been together since 2010. reports are that Seacrest, 35, had been chasing Hough since she was 18.

"He totally wasn't my type," she said to TMZ back in 2010 on how their relationship began. "I thought he was gay."

But after a few years and some convincing, she realized that she liked him and that the gay rumors were not true. Since then, the couple have been spotted hand-in-hand, seen on getaways in Portofino, Italy, in Malibu, on dinner dates, lip locked in embrace.

"I'm so lucky that I have a great relationship," she says now of her connection to Seacrest, despite their jam packed schedules.  "I'm very blessed and I don't take anything for granted. I think if you alienate people and just focus on your work then it just becomes lonely and it's not fun anymore."
