A woman discovered in the bed of an Astoria apartment with her throat slashed Thursday was identified by police Friday as Tara Hawes, 33.

Her in-laws discovered her body after they arrived at the apartment just before 8:30 p.m., the police told The New York Daily News.

The in-laws originally went to the apartment to check on Hawes and her husband because they hadn't seen or heard from them in at least two days.

The police are currently looking to question Hawe's husband.
