For Chelsea, surrendering three unanswered goals at home against a rival like Manchester United marks perhaps their lowest moment of the season, aside from the 5-3 drumming the club took from local rival Arsenal. For the Red Devils, a three-goal deficit should be a warning sign that the club has plenty of work to do if they expect to win the Premier League following the club's early exit from Champions League.
