Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy in the U.S.
Yuvraj played a key role in India's 2011 World Cup victory. He became the "Player of the Tournament" in the World Cup with 362 runs, 15 wickets and four Man-of-the-Match awards. He has been out of competitive cricket for months following the discovery of a tumor in his lungs and is currently undergoing chemotherapy in the Cancer Research Institute in Boston.

Meanwhile, his physiotherapist Dr Jatin Chaudhary has insisted that the ailment is curable and the batsman would be fit to resume active cricket in May. "Since parts of the tumor are just above the artery of his heart, there was a danger that while running it could burst. But it is 100 percent curable," Chaudhary said.
The news has already generated a massive buzz on Twitter with fans wishing fast and healthy recovery for the iconic player. Omar Abdullah, chief minister of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, tweeted: "Here's wishing Yuvraj Singh a speedy & complete recovery. On a good day there are few cricketers more exciting than him."
