Mayor Bloomberg announced last night that New York City will host a victory parade for the New York Giants to celebrate the team's victory over the New England Patriots at the 2012 Super Bowl.

As Super Bowl XLVI Champions, the New York Giants will also be honored at a ceremony at City Hall Plaza, where Mayor Bloomberg will present the team with keys to the city.

But what day is the parade, and when does it start?

The Super Bowl 2012 Victory Parade will begin at Battery Place and Washington Street in Manhattan on Tuesday, at 11:00 a.m. EST. It will continue up the Canyon of Heroes to Worth Street, where it will end with the Mayor's key ceremony at City Hall.

For those looking to score free tickets to the City Hall ceremony, a public giveaway began at 9:00 a.m. and will end at 11:00 a.m. EST on Monday.

Fans can enter the ticket giveaway raffle at City Hall, on the city's site , through Mayor Bloomberg's Twitter feed at @NYCMayorsOffice, and by calling the city's 311 line or texting 311692.

Only Tri-state area residents 18 years or older are eligible for parade ceremony tickets, and can enter only once. Winners will be notified at 2 p.m. and must pick up their tickets at a location in in midtown Manhattan by 8 p.m. Monday.

"Big Blue gave us a game to remember, and on Tuesday we're going to give them a parade to remember," Mayor Michael Bloomberg said in a statement.

Tuesday's forecast for the New York Giants Super Bowl Victory Parade 2012 is expected to be between 43 and 47 degrees and mostly sunny.
