Novak Djokovic and Other Winners of Laureus World Sports Awards 2012 (PHOTOS)
It was a celebrity galore at the 13th annual Laureus World Sport Awards ceremony at London's Central Hall on Monday night. The winners were chosen by the Laureus World Sports Academy, constituted of 47 great sportspersons with former record-breaking US track star Edwin Moses as its presiding chairman.
The notable award winners include US surfer Kelly Slater, golfers Darren Clarke and Rory McIlroy, FC Barcelona and Tennis player Novak Djokovic.

Laureus World Sportsman of the Year: Novak Djokovic
Serbia's Novak Djokovic bagged the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year award for his remarkable performance in 2011, winning three Grand Slam events - the Australian Open, Wimbledon and the US Open. He is current world No.1 Tennis player.
Laureus World Sportswoman of the Year: Vivian Cheruiyot
Vivian Cheruiyot, Kenya's distance runner, won the Laureus Sportswoman of the Year Award. She won gold medals at the World Championships in Daegu in both 5,000 and 10,000.
Laureus World Team of the Year: FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona bagged the Laureus World Team of the Year Award. The team is the winners of the Champions League and the Spanish League in the 2010-2011 season.
Laureus World Breakthrough of the Year: Rory McIlroy
Northern Ireland golfer Rory McIlroy, 22, won the Laureus World Breakthrough of the Year Award. The young talent won the US Open title.
Laureus World Comeback of the Year: Darren Clarke
Darren Clarke bagged the Laureus World Comeback of the Year Award. Aged 42, the Northern Ireland golfer won the award after his Open Championship victory at Royal St.George's at his 20th attempt.
Laureus World Sportsperson of the Year with a Disability: Oscar Pistorius
South Africa's Oscar Pistorius won the Laureus World Sportsperson of the Year with a Disability Award. Known as the ‘Blade Runner' for using carbon fibre blades, he won a silver in the 4 x 400 metres relay, becoming the first amputee to win a track medal in the non-disabled World Championships.
Laureus World Action Sportsperson of the Year: Kelly Slater
American surfing Kelly Slater got the Laureus World Action Sportsperson of the Year Award. It was his fourth Laureus Award. Tennis player Roger Federer is the only other sportsperson who has won the award four times.
Laureus Lifetime Achievement Award: Sir Bobby Charlton
England football legend Sir Bobby Charlton got the Laureus Lifetime Achievement Award for his remarkable career in soccer.
Laureus Sport for Good Award: Rai Souza Vieira de Oliveira
Rai Souza Vieira de Oliveira won the Laureus Sport for Good Award. The former Brazilian footballer has turned a social justice campaigner.
