Valentine's Day 2012: Music's Hottest Couples
Everyone loves a good celebrity power couple. What's not appealing about two people who are rich, beautiful and talented? What's even better is when those two people are musicians. The sweet music made between two lovers who just can't keep there hands off each other -- that's true love.
As musicians tend to be a little more rough around the edges, there are some couples that just can't keep it together. And then there are some that manage to make it last through it all and become steady as a rock.
That's why for this Valentine's Day, we're rounding up the music industry's hottest couples that are making a name for themselves by making it last. From R&B to country, hip-hop to pop, we've included couples that enjoy showing their affection on and off stage. Here are music's 10 hottest couples for Valentine's Day 2012.
Jay Z and his wife Beyonce watch the New Jersey Nets play the Phoenix Suns
Married in 2008, Jay-Z and Beyonce have been good at keeping their relationship extremely private. With both stars at the height of their musical careers, it’s safe to say that the power couple has claimed the throne as the king and queen of Hip-Hop.
And while being two of the top earning wedded celebrities in music, they show no signs of slowing down as they have recently welcomed a new baby into the world -- Blue Ivy Carter. The baby has already been recorded and featured on one of Jay-Z’s tracks -- “Glory.” That’s what I call baby making music!
Singer Justin Bieber and his girlfriend, singer Selena Gomez clearly in love at the 2011 American Music Awards in Los Angeles
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are pop's prince and princess. It’s almost too perfect how their respective careers are taking off side by side.
While both artists are enjoying life by being young, rich and successful, they are also having a much publicized relationship with every date and dinner being documented by the paparazzi.
Even at such a young age the duo is quickly learning the price of fame. Let’s hope it doesn't get in the way!
Matt and Kim playing together at Lollapalooza
Matt Johnson and Kim Schifino – you might know them better by their stage name, Matt and Kim – are mentioned considerably less than everyone else on this list.
Nonetheless, they are still a couple made of two talented musicians that are enjoying success the only way a couple should – together. The two met in 2004 while attending the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, and have been making sweet music together ever since!
Gwen Stefani and husband Gavin Rossdale arrive arm in arm for the World Premiere of "Sherlock Holmes"
Bush lead singer Gavin Rossdale and No Doubt lead singer Gwen Stefani have been happily married since 2002. They have two sons together and spends most of their time in Gavin’s native London.
Though they have made recent headlines for rumored “marital trouble,” no such thing has provoked any kind of split that we know of. Ten years strong, we hope they rock out for ten more.
One happy family, Alicia Keys sits with husband Swizz Beatz and their son during the Knicks and Celtics basketball game in New York
Starting a relationship off with a scandal doesn’t usually make for a promising future as a couple. But I guess there is always one exception to every rule, this one being Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz.
The hip-hop producer and “Fallin” singer had an affair together while Beatz was still married, and kept the relationship going until he was divorced. The two then proceeded to tie the knot and even had a baby together after their marriage was finalized.
Those who know the two say they are “very happy.” Guess you can’t knock true love.

The country music power couple of Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have never been more popular than right now.
With Shelton participating as a judge on NBC’s hit show “The Voice,” and Lambert having four number one albums and a Grammy under her belt, they have definitely established themselves as a hot music power couple not to be messed with.
Mandy Moore and husband Ryan Adams arm in arm at a flea market
Even though they fly relatively low under the radar, singer/actress Mandy Moore and rocker Ryan Adams are two talented people who found love in their respective fields. The two married in 2009 with Moore telling Marie Claire that her husband is “a good egg. I’m in awe of him: his brain, his passion. He’s truly one of a kind.”
The two have not really been doing much lately professionally, but that must mean that they’re too busy being in love.
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill stay close to each other at the 45th Country Music Association Awards in Nashville
Way before Blake and Miranda, there was Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.
Some say they are still the hottest couple on the country music scene.
Having met in 1996 while on tour together, the two were instantly attracted to each other and decided to get married that same year. Since their marriage, the couple has pumped out three daughters and lots more music. A family rule being that they not spend more than three consecutive days apart, the two are pillars of stability for all celebrity couples alike. Watch and learn people, watch and learn.
Mariah Carey and husband Cannon at the AFI Fest 2009 gala screening of "Precious"
Mariah Carey is pop royalty. Having sold over 200 million albums worldwide, she is worth reportedly around $500m. Nick Cannon is an actor, rapper and all around entertainment entrepreneur. Together, they make one of the most powerful couples in the industry.
Married in 2008, the two have kept the flame burning while Nick works and Mariah takes care of their brand new twin babies. That's one model family if I've ever seen one.
Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi making sweet blues music together
Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi are the king and queen of the blues. Trucks, who can be seen jamming out with the legendary Allman Brothers Band, married blues vocalist Tedeschi and formed The Tedeschi Trucks band.
The family band carries on the blues legacy established by the likes of the famous Delaney and Bonnie. Having met in 1999, the blues power couple had two children in grade school by 2010 and since then have hit the road with their Tedeschi Trucks Band, writing material and recording an album that has recently been nominated for a Grammy award in the Best Blues Album category. They may not be the most famous couple, but I think it’s safe to say they’re the most talented.
