Speculation knows no end when it comes to the possible release date of the next iPad.

According to the latest buzz, iPad 3, which analysts believe would be the name for the much-awaited gadget, will be unveiled in a few weeks from now.

It is more or less confirmed that Apple won't be holding any event in February. Quoting Silicon Valley insiders, AllThingsD reported that the successor to iPad 2 is now most likely to be debuted at a media event in the first week of March at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.

The report adds that the gadget will hit the stores in a week from its official launch.

The device is expected to be quite similar to iPad 2 in form, but will come with a much faster chip and an advanced graphics processing unit, along with a 2048×1536 retina display, the report says.

Meanwhile, company sources declined to comment on any possible release date.
