Fresh off of his triple win on Tuesday, Rick Santorum told an enthusiastic audience at CPAC 2012 in Washington, D.C., Friday morning to "put your honor on the line" and choose him for the Republican presidential nomination.
Buzz had been building around the former Pennsylvania senator since he won caucuses in Minnesota and Colorado as well as a primary in Missouri. Although no delegates were assigned at the contests and the win was symbolic, his success reinvigorated his base.
Santorum stickers decorated the jackets of hundreds of CPAC attendees in the Marriott Wardman Park hotel--more than any other candidate -- and reporters mobbed him as he walked towards the ballroom to give his speech.
Below are tweets on Santorum's most memorable sound bites as well as reaction on Twitter.
Rick Santorum is everywhere in the news these days, between his surge in the polls to controversial statements about abortion and President Obama's faith. If he continues to dominate the GOP primary narrative, there's a good chance the former Pennsylvania senator could win the Republican nomination.
