Departing from a typical runway show, Emilio Cavallini used a sexy, intimate cinematic experience channeling Bettie Page to present his seductive Fall 2012 legwear collection, "Risqué Business," on Monday at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York.

"My collection too inspiration from 1950's pin-up model Bettie Page, but really explores the sexual expression and fantasies of all women," Cavallini said.

To exude the sensual and provocative air he was looking for, Cavallini projected a short film, "Risqué Business," at the Florence Excelsior Hotel on a 21-foot screen behind models donning his creations. The film depicted a woman trying on countless pairs of Emilio Cavallini legwear. After feeling herself sensually, before leaving her home, she decides on a lacy cat suit with nothing else.

The air of film noir was present in both the film and the show, as the models mimicked the video, trying on tights on a stage for revelers to watch voyeuristically and join the fantasy world that is Emilio Cavallini.

"Bettie Page was the ultra femme fatale, inciting the fantasies of men, and women, at a time when 'nice girls' wouldn't dare to look like that, or act like that."

But Cavallini's leg wear and body wear invite the woman to don a risky fashion choice. Made for women who "dare to be different," designs by Cavallini range from shocking to chic in prints of black floral lace, tattoo motifs, fishnets, shredded tights and bandeaus, bold stripes and dots, animal prints, plaid, chevron, hounds tooth, argyle and paisley. Incorporating Italian artistry with seduction, the Emilio Cavallini line of leg wear gives women creative ways to reveal their legs, express their femininity and unleash their fashion power, according to the designer.

Having been in the business for over 40 years, Emilio Cavallini's line of leg and body wear add drama, mystery and sexiness for women who aren't afraid to be noticed during a time when leg wear has peaked in popularity with over four million tights sold each year, according to the designer.
