Ryan Giggs has admitted he is concerned about the possibility of retiring too early and making sure he leaves on a high, as the 38 year old takes in the fact that he has signed a one year extension at Manchester United.

"When to retire is difficult," he told the Telegraph.
"Do you quit too early or go that one too many games and let people see you on the slide? Retirement is just a decision that I have to take my time with because I feel different after each game.
"He [Scholes] was missing it and it's no secret that me, Nev [Gary Neville] and a few other people felt that he had finished too early, but who were we to know?
"We wanted him to carry on but he'd made his decision quite early and it was probably too early, which I think he accepts now. Who knows? Maybe he'll carry on next year."

But the star's current and former teammates, and manager, think that Giggs should be around for a while longer yet, and many have rallied behind the midfielder who is coming close to making 900 appearances for United in total.
