Emma Watson's Beauty and the Beast: Celeb Fairytale Princesses [SLIDESHOW]

Harry Potter star Emma Watson is to became the latest celebrity to enter the world of happily ever after after winning the role of Belle in a new movie adaptation of the fairytale classic Beauty and the Beast.

Fresh from her supporting stint in My Week with Marilyn, the 21-year-old British actress plays the heroine in the Guillermo del Toro remake.

She will be kissing goodbye to her geeky Harry Potter alter ego, Hermione Granger, and taking on the more sentimental role in the new film. As Belle, she is trapped in the palace of a hideous creature - a former prince turned into a monster by a curse.

Beauty and the Beast, which has been written by Andrew Davies, is scheduled to be released in 2014.
