Fresh from their Grammy performance, The Beach Boys have announced the dates for their long awaited reunion tour.

The 50-date world tour will kick off Apr. 24 with a performance in Tuscon, AZ. Among the dates are headlining performances at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, as well as Bonnaroo 2012.The announcement follows rumors that have been circulating for years of a reunion tour consisting of the original line-up.

Since their split in the late '90s, Mike Love and Bruce Johnston continued to tour under the Beach Boys name. Brian Wilson toured solo, while Al Jardine performed with the Endless Summer Band. Nothing had been confirmed for the reunion until last December when the band announced plans for a tour and a new album.

"We haven't played together in a long time," Al Jardine told Rolling Stone.

"The fans are going to want to hear the hits. But there should also be lesser-known ones that are so important," he added.

This will be the first time that this exact lineup takes the stage, as the specific roster of musicians have never performed on tour together. The string of shows will feature Wilson, Love, Jardine, Johnston and David Marks, who left the group in 1963 when he was just 15 years old.

The Boys made their first appearance together this past weekend at the 54th annual Grammy Awards, where they played "Good Vibrations" along with Maroon 5 and Foster The People.

Aside from 2012 world tour, The Beach Boys have also confirmed that tracks for a new studio album have been completed. The album, which will include a commemorative catalog, is produced Wilson and Love.
