Taylor Momsen takes a break from her goth look without her over the top eyeliner and ripped clothes and slips in a classy black lace dress for the New York Fashion Week.

Known for her risqué and rockstar appearance, the former Gossip Girl star looked far from her usual everyday look when she attended the Marchesa show at the New York Fashion Week.

To coordinate with the brand's more feminine and elegant wear, the 18-year-old rock singer had her hair up to match a classy just above the knee black lace dress.

Although the look made her appear more grown up than her actual age, Momsen looked put together. Taylor maybe without her usual wardrobe but she still kept the smoky eye, this time it was more toned down.

The singer for the band "The Pretty Reckless" who is known for wearing ripped shirts, no pants, thigh suspenders and platform boots spoke to FHM this month about her fashion sense.

"I love stripper shoes and I always try to find the tallest ones," she said about her quirky fashion taste.

"I'm always surprised no one talks about my shoes. I'm, like, on stage in 15-inch heels but people talk more about my eye make-up, which has stayed the same forever. I always think that's funny. I'm 5'8". So I'm really tall."

She left the teen series "Gossip Girl" last year when she opted to focus more on her music career.
