Anthony Shadid: Late New York Times Reporter’s Charlie Rose Interview

Anthony Shadid, foreign correspondent for the New York Times, has died, reportedly from an asthma attack Thursday while on assignment in Syria. The Pulitzer-prize winning journalist was interviewed on camera with his wife and fellow Times reporter Nada Bakri by Charlie Rose in December 2009.

In the 20-minute interview, Shadid discusses covering the Iraq War and conflict in the Middle East. Along with Bakri, they discuss the region's political climate, touching upon Afghanistan, Syria and Iran.
