Jeremy Lin, the spectacular new point guard for the New York Knicks, has attracted millions of fans around the country and the world.

Among 'Linsanity's' new admirers are many prominent figures, including Woody Allen, Spike Lee, Paul McCartney, Sarah Palin, Barack Obama, Bo Derek, Kevin Costner, Mark Sanchez and Eva Longoria.

However, perhaps no Lin fan is more deep-pocketed than Mark Zuckerberg.

The billionaire Facebook founder was seen sitting behind the Knicks bench Sunday in Madison Square Garden when the hometown club beat the NBA champion Dallas Mavericks, led by Lin's 28 points and 14 assists.

Perhaps this is not so unusual – Lin and Zuckerberg have much in common. Both attended Harvard University (although Lin graduated and Zuckerberg dropped out); both live in Palo Alto, Calif.; and both are at the very top of their respective professions.

However, they have a huge gap in income – Lin is scheduled to earn the NBA minimum salary of $800,000, while Zuckerberg is estimated to be worth a cool $17.5-billion.
