The Web site, Apple Daily, has published photos of what it claims is the new iPad. According to the claims made by the Web site, Apple's new device will have an 8 megapixel rear-camera and a 2048×1536 resolution Retina Display. The report also indicated that Apple will pack the A6 Quad-core processor with its new device.

Apple Daily claimed the images were taken by "special channels" and said that instead of iPad 3, Apple might give a new name to its next generation tab, possibly "iPad 2S."

Earlier, iMore speculated that the next generation iPad, which Apple is believed to launch within a few weeks, will feature a retina display, quad-core A6 processor and a 4G LTE networking. A leaked photo, purportedly showing the back panel of Apple's third generation iPad, also hinted at a larger battery and some design changes such as an improved processor, better display and a more powerful camera.

The iPad 2 has a poor capacity camera of 0.7 mega pixel with 960 x 720 pixels unit and a secondary front facing VGA camera. But as the company has already introduced a new and improved camera on the iPhone 4S, rumors about the launch of an improved camera with iPad 3 was already going rife. Until now no speculation regarding the megapixels came out, but the latest report from the Daily Apple "confirms" that iPad 3 will sport an 8 MP camera.

The Web site also says iPad 3 will sport a revolutionary retina display featuring double-resolution screen 2048×1536 pixels in dimension with modified IGZO (indium, gallium, zinc) technology that will provide an improved pixel density of 330 ppi, which is an impressive upgrade on iPad 2's display of 1024x768 pixels and a pixel density of 132 ppi.
