Oscars 2012: Hot Couples on the Red Carpet [PHOTOS]

Sure the Oscars are about excellence in film but the question of "Who wore what?" and "Who arrived with who?" can be more fun than the ceremony itself. Though a few arrived solo unexpectedly, such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Penelope Cruz, last night's red carpet was filled with glamorous couples. This included Hollywood veterans and emerging newcomers.Here are 5 of the hottest couples to attend the 2012 Oscars!

The classically handsome British actor Colin Firth arrived with his Italian wife Livia Giuggioli. Firth won the Best Actor award last year for his role in "The King's Speech".

Viola Davis, best actress nominee for "The Help", and her husband Julius Tennon. The actress's talent has been showcased in other Oscar nominated films, such as "Doubt".

French actor Jean Dujardin and his wife Alexandra Lamy. Dujardin picked up the Best Actor award for his moving work in "The Artist".

George Clooney and Stacy Keibler

Longtime partners Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were the picture of perfection. Jolie, who is a fan of black, showed some serious leg. Pitt was nominated for his role as an innovative baseball coach in "Moneyball".
