Danica Patrick's highly-hyped NASCAR debut ended up with a disappointing 38th position in the rain-plagued Daytona 500 on Monday after her No. 10 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet got involved in a six-car chain reaction mishap on just the second lap.

After the mishap, Patrick's crew made extensive repairs to her car to make her get back in the race. However, she only managed to finish 38th.

The accident reportedly occurred just minutes after the green flag dropped Monday night, eliminating five-time Sprint Cup champion Jimmie Johnson from the race.

It also sent other five cars, including Trevor Bayne's and Patrick's own, to the Daytona International Speedway's garage for extensive repairs, Fox Sports reported.

I mean, I was pretty speechless, Sports Illustrated quoted Patrick as saying. I didn't really know what to say. I just pretty much kept my mouth shut and just sat there. Just breathe.
