With the Indianapolis Colts set to release Peyton Manning, their longtime franchise quarterback, where will the NFL superstar land next?

The move by the Colts to cut Manning, who was in Indianapolis for 14 seasons, all but assures Indianapolis will select highly touted Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck with the first pick in next month's NFL Draft.

Colts owner Jim Irsay has made the decision to cut Manning, who would be owed a $28 million bonus if he is not released, according to ESPN.com.

A news conference to announce the decision is scheduled for noon today, USA Today reported.

Where will the Peyton Manning, a four-time NFL MVP, land? Here are five possible destinations for Manning.

1) Washington Redskins

Redskins owner Dan Snyder is known for throwing money around and loves to sign a big superstar.

2) Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins fired head coach Tony Sparano late in the season last year and signing Manning would not only make a big splash, it would give the Fish an upgrade at quarterback.

3) Arizona Cardinals

Quarterback Kevin Kolb is just not cutting it for the Cardinals and Manning may be intrigued by Arizona because of superstar wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald.

4) New York Jets

After taking the Jets to two consecutive AFC title games, quarterback Mark Sanchez's progress took a setback this season. Many are questioning if he's the right man to be under center for the Jets. In addition, Manning to the Jets makes for a great storyline with brother Eli, a two-time Super Bowl winner, also playing in New York with the Giants.

5) Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs fired coach Raheem Morris and replaced him with ex-Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano. They have Josh Freeman under center right now and Freeman declined this year after a promising rookie season.
