Emily Maynard, the star of the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, is looking for love -- and she's been spotted in action.

Maynard was seen on a one-on-one date Friday night with one of her suitors in Charlotte, North Carolina, according to an Us Weekly report.

Maynard and her date ate at Osso Restaurant & Lounge, located in the city's NC Music Factory. The restaurant features an economic Italian-style menu and modern décor. The couple also danced to the country music band Gloriana, which is currently on tour.

She looked happy, like she was having a nice time, an eyewitness told Us Weekly. Emily didn't kiss Ryan at the end of the song. She just gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

Maynard was spotted on another date Tuesday night at the Mint Museum Uptown, the Charlotte Observer reported. But the paper noted that Maynard and her date were actually scaling the side of the building -- helmets and harnesses and all.

Observers were cheering the two on, according to the Observer.

We love you, Emily, one woman reportedly shouted.

In case you're not familiar with Maynard's background, the 26-year-old single mother won Brad Womack's heart on season 15 of The Bachelor. The two later broke up and now she's taking her own turn looking for love. Some of the filming is taking place in Charlotte, where she resides with her six-year-old daughter. Maynard had her daughter with her late fiancé, Nascar driver Ricky Hendrick, who died in a plane crash in 2004.

It wasn't easy persuading Maynard to be on The Bachelorette, according to the show's host, Chris Harrison.

We approached her, Harrison said on Good Morning America, according to an Entertainment Weekly report. She was reluctant, and needed a lot of time to think about it, obviously, because there's somebody else involved in her life, Ricki, her daughter. It was a huge decision. It wasn't our usual approach to finding the Bachelorette. We took it very slow. We had a lot of interviews.

Maynard isn't the first single parent to seek love on the popular reality television series. Single dad Jason Mesnick was a contestant and runner-up on the fourth season of The Bachelorette and the star of the 13th season of The Bachelor. He is now married to his season's runner-up, Molly Malaney.
