Apple vs. Samsung cold war is in progress, be it a legal court battle relating to patent infringement issues, or comparison of their flagship smartphones. Galaxy S2 and iPhone 4S were often compared for the title of Best Smartphone of 2011. And this year, both the tech giants are changing their flagship with new Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5 smartphones.

Apple iPhone 5 will be released in late summer or fall, while Galaxy S3 is just around the corner. Samsung surely has an advantage with early release in sales point of view to beat the unannounced iPhone. More sales mean acquiring more people who could vote for Galaxy S3 as Best Phone of 2012 in Internet polls.

However, check out the features below that really will make the new Galaxy S3 be crowned as the king of smartphones and kill Apple iPhone 5.

Wireless Charging

Latest reports suggest the inclusion of the revolutionary wireless charging feature in Galaxy S3. WebOS-based Palm Pre is the only device in the market that offer wire-free charging feature. With the wireless charging feature, users will be able to juice up Galaxy S3 from a distance of 1-2 meters from the charging station.

Dual Booting

Dual Booting is also a widely expected feature. Some users simply put their Galaxy S2 on eBay for auctions or like sites because they do not like the home-made TouchWiz UI of Samsung. Galaxy S3 will reportedly offer dual booting option to users so that they can choose between TouchWiz launcher or Vanilla ICS launcher. A leaked photo of Galaxy S3 also suggests Samsung Galaxy Nexus style launcher.

Quad-core Exynos Processor Chip

Galaxy S3 could be a beast in terms of performance, if Samsung decides to pack it with Quad-core Exynos processor clocked at 1.8 GHz. There could be 2GB of RAM in the device. Exynos chip would have integrated LTE radio, offering 4G network support.

Other features

Galaxy S3 will sport a bigger screen, possibly 4.7-inch with 720p HD resolution. Touchscreen will be protected with second generation Corning Gorilla Glass and nano coating. Design will also be new with a stylish ceramic back. Samsung could abandon the old design concept of its Galaxy lineup with full capacitive buttons (home button is expected to be capacitive too).
