Monaco’s Princess Charlene seems to be finally coming of age and parting with her monotone beige coats and hairdo; at least her recent public appearances depict so.

The princess, who married Monaco's Prince Albert II in July last year, was seen in a full makeover at Rose Ball, a traditional annual charity event in aid of the Foundation Princess Grace, in Monte Carlo over the weekend.

Princess Charlene wore a strapless black gown with a glimmering gold bodice and flaunted her fresh hairstyle – long flicks that ran down till eyebrows and tresses swept back into a high bun, giving the princess quite a glamorous look.

More recently, during her visit to Kautokeino, north Norway, along with Prince Albert II, the former South African Olympic swimmer let her sporty side too come into light.

Dressed in local Lappish clothing of reindeer skin, the royal couple got cozy and traveled by reindeer sledge through the snow areas on Monday.

For the dinner held to honor the couple, Princess Charlene dazzled in a black dress, which she accessorized with dangler earrings and a scintillating neckpiece. The style statement was quite unusual for the princess, who is known for keeping a sober profile when it comes to fashion.
