An autopsy yesterday revealed that Melissa Jenkins, a Vermont science teacher had been strangled to death. According to ABC, police have now arrested a husband and wife in connection with the single moms murder.

Vermont State Police released the names of the two arrested in connection with the murder, Allen Prue, 30, a snow-plow operator and newspaper delivery man for the Caledonian Record, and his wife, Patricia Prue, 33.

The couple was taken into custody late Tuesday night, reports ABC. Allen and Patricia Prue are currently facing charges of 2nd degree murder, along with charges of improperly disposing of a body in connection with the killing of Melissa Jenkins.

According to the Burlington Free Press, the alleged murderers are being held without bail, and are due in court today.

Currently there is no known motive for the killing, but Vermont State Police Major Ed Ledo stated at a news conference that They knew Miss Jenkins and had snow-plowed her driveway a couple of years ago.

The Caledonian Record reported that their employee had arrived an hour late for his Sunday night shift, which also happened to be around the same time that Jenkins had went missing.

Jenkins disappeared on Sunday night. Her SUV was found running with her two-year-old still in the car. The teacher's body was discovered on Monday on a road about 10 miles from where her car was left, reports the Burlington Free Press.

The investigation is still open.
