Alex Sturrock, a 31-year old photographer, is the muse behind Adele's award winning, album, 21, according to claims by Heat Magazine. The soul singer has notoriously remained tight lipped about the name of the ex who she sang about in such heartbreaking songs as Rolling in the Deep, Someone Like You, and Set Fire To The Rain. She has voiced that she wrote the album to get over a painful break up, reported the Telegraph. When the singer began writing the album in 2009, she described the man in referred to in some of the songs as the person who made [her] an adult, in her first real relationship.

The Heat Magazine report claims that Adele secretly dated the photographer from summer 2008 to April 2009, and started writing the album around the time the relationship ended. Adele's 21, which reportedly described the relationship and it's demise, scooped up six Grammys, winning every category in which the artist was nominated, and became one of the best selling albums of all time.

It was an intense period for them. They met through mutual friends while Alex was working for Vice and hit it off straight away, said an unnamed friend of the photographer, according to Heat Magazine. He shot her a few times and that was just it. They spent all their time together -- and when they weren't together they would ring each other constantly.

The Heat Magazine report also says that Sturrock accompanied Adele to the Grammy's when she won her very first awards, shared hotel rooms with her as she rose to fame, was the singer's best mate, and said no one knew her like he did.

Despite the break-up, Adele, who is now romantically involved with Simon Konecki, revealed that she and her mysterious ex were 'becoming friends again, and that It's alright, I know what I'm doing. Enough time has gone by, reported MTV News.
