The 2012 Masters champion Bubba Watson will be selling his North Carolina lake house for an asking price of $1.45 million in order to rent a home in Orlando, Fla. where he and his wife Angie can take care of their newly adopted son Caleb, according to Forbes.

Tim Taylor of Tim Taylor Realty, the listing agent for Watson's Lexington, N.C. home, said that Bubba and Angie used the property as a summertime home for the past two years, staying from April through October. However, rather than use it the home this year, the couple will rent in Orlando where Caleb is required by law to stay while the adoption process is finalized.

Anybody that has been looking at properties like this that has disposable income is going to want to be able to say that they bought a house from Bubba Watson, Taylor said on Monday. It's something a lot of people here put weight on.

The gated 5,000-square foot lake house, nestled along the coast of High Rock Lake, was first put on the market in February and has belonged to Watson since 2009, when public records say it was purchased for $1.1 million. Furnishings are negotiable.

The home has three levels with four bedrooms, five bathrooms, two indoor kitchens, a den and an office throughout. Adjacent to the home is a standalone three-car garage with living quarters above it.

Outside of the main house and perched over the water is an entertaining area that includes a heated salt water pool and spa, a stainless steel outdoor kitchen, a fireplace and a specially formatted exterior television. There is also a floating aluminum pier, a covered boat lift and a dock.

Taylor said that the home has yet to receive a traditional offer, although a few people have offered to do property trades, something of which Taylor said Watson isn't interested in. He also said that both the coming selling season and Watson's budding celebrity status will result in many prospective buyers by the summer.
