Nine months into their engagement, Carey Mulligan and Marcus Mumford are reportedly having their wedding in the English countryside this weekend.

According to Radar Online, Mulligan, 26, and Mumford, 24, will tie the knot in front of close family and friends.

She is absolutely walking on air and can hardly contain her excitement . . . they are madly in love and know they are perfect for each other, a source told Radar Online.

It's a dream come true for Carey, the source added.

Rumor or not, the timing of the wedding is not a terrible shock, considering how fast the couple fell for each other. Mulligan began dating the Mumford & Sons front man nearly one year ago, following a long relationship with her Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps co-star Shia LaBeouf.

Five months later, Mumford popped the question.

The fairly private pair have actually known each other since childhood. According to Us Weekly, Mulligan and Mumford were pen pals in London but lost touch long ago. Their relationship picked up in early 2011, when Mulligan and Jake Gyllenhaal went to a private Mumford & Sons show in Nashville.

At the end of the night there were just there musicians, Jake, Carey, and the Mumford boys . . . we had some pizza and they just played music. Jake picked up a guitar and Carey joined in on 'Amazing Grace.' Marcus and Carey seemed really friendly, a source told Us Weekly at the time.

Mulligan, who shot to mainstream Hollywood fame in 2009's An Education, has since been on a slew of major features, co-starring with the likes of Ryan Gosling (Drive) and Michael Fassbender (Shame). The English actress recently wrapped production on the film adaptation of The Great Gatsby, opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Isla Fisher. Mulligan is set to play Daisy Buchanan.

Meanwhile, Mumford and his band are gearing up to record the follow-up to their 2009 debut album Sigh No More, which has reached quadruple platinum in the UK, double platinum in the US and Canada, and Platinum in Europe and New Zealand.

Mumford was previously linked to British songstress Laura Marling.
