Netherlands has garnered 53 percent positive sentiment in social media conversations which is more than its sporting rival Spain ahead of the FIFA World Cup finals to be played in South Africa on Sunday between the two European nations, Attensity Group said on Friday.
Software provider Attensity said in a statement while Spain accounted for 54 percent of the total conversations on Twitter, Facebook, blogs, videos, and online forums, only 47 percent of chatter about ‘La Furia’ was positive.
Attensity said the result was just the opposite for the ‘Oranje’, as the Dutch squad was the topic of only 46 percent of total conversation, but 53 percent of them expressed positive sentiment.
However, Attensity said it is not attempting to predict the World Cup winner, as the champion wins on skill and ability to play better than the competitor, not social media popularity or "voting."
