Fans were able to see some footage of Ubisoft's upcoming Assassin's Creed game at E3 2012, but it looks as if more uncut and unedited clips have surfaced. The video consists of more than five minutes of untouched gameplay from Assassin's Creed 3, showing Connor in a Boston market making some dirty dealings.

The video opens with Connor diving from a rooftop swiftly into a moving haystack. Our protagonist then engages in combat in what seems to be a side mission. A female character antagonizes a British soldier, which Connor quickly and stealthily assassinates. After this, Connor blends into a patch of shrubbery and climbs atop a tree to perform his next kill.

The game play footage communicates the overall colonial feel and theme that Assassin's Creed 3 has been built on. Viewers witness Connor dodging Redcoats before combating them, and the weaponry looks truly stunning. The fight scenes are swift and quick, just as a successful assassination needs to be. The sharp sound effects bring even more of a realistic aura to the gameplay.

We are very conscious of the historical accuracy of the game, and all of Connor's main targets are real people, and they died in the right place at the right time, lead writer Matt Turner told AusGamers. Obviously, not always in the right conditions -- it's not like all the guys got stabbed in the face -- but outside of that, the historical record of the Revolution is vast and deep.

Ubisoft has also confirmed that the engine Assassin's Creed 3 runs on will support large numbers of characters to be on-screen at the same time, recreating the massive and iconic battles of the American Revolution.

For instance, the Battle of Bunker Hill; we knew the weather, we knew the amount on each side, how many guys die, the causalities, the topography, and with all of that together, we can actually recreate the battle, Turner also said. And it's the closest thing to being there outside of having a time-machine, which doesn't exist yet as far as I'm aware.

It was also recently announced that the game will be making its way to Wii U consoles in addition to Xbox and PlayStation systems. One standout feature that Nintendo's console will offer is the ability to integrate its GamePad controller into gameplay, which is said to be a big win.

Assassin's Creed 3 is obviously an open world game and we're dealing with huge expanses, Ubisoft's Alex Hutchinson said to the Official Nintendo Magazine. It's by far the biggest 'Assassin's Creed' we've built to date, so having a map -- a larger map -- at your disposal at times is a big win. It allows you to plan your navigation, see what enemies are nearby, so the bigger the map, the better in our universe.

Assassin's Creed 3 has a release date of Oct. 30. Check out the video below to see Connor in action.
