Blake Lively was a show-stopper at Monday night's Savages premiere in Los Angeles. Although she was joined on the red carpet by beautiful actresses Salma Hayek, Kelly Preston, Helen Hunt, Sandra Echeverria and Mary-Louise Parker, Lively outshined them all.

Lively oozed Old Hollywood sex appeal in a curve-hugging Zuhair Murad gown from the designer's Spring 2012 Couture collection. The gown featured sparkling black detailing against a tan base, a strapless sweetheart neckline and a subtle fishtail skirt.

The 24-year-old actress, who has been dating Ryan Reynolds since last October, opted for cascading finger waves, bright red lips and nails and simple gold jewelry.

Blake Lively turned Veronica Lake. Wowza.

What is most impressive is that Lively styles herself.

My assistant will call fashion houses for me, but I always pick the outfit, shoes, jewelry, and a lot of times I do my own hair and makeup for events, Lively told Marie Claire. Sometimes I think, 'God, why do I do this to myself? It's so much extra work!'

It might be extra work, but this beautiful blonde is willing to flex a little muscle.

I love fashion, she said. It's such an expression of self. I often see people and they look great, but I can identify who styled them. Every stylist has a signature. Maybe it sounds jerky, but I'm lucky to be on such a fashion-centric show [Gossip Girl]. There's no designer I don't have access to.

And what about that fabulously taut and toned body that Lively loves to show off in skimpy skirts, bandage dresses and low-cut tops?

People like to draw parallels between my life and the scandalous stories on 'Gossip Girl,' she told Marie Claire. I dress the same as my character, so they think, She lives this life on and off set. I recently shared how many boyfriends I've had [four], and people were like, 'That's impossible!' But it's true. I've been with very few people. If I'm not with somebody who really excites or inspires me, then I'd rather be by myself.

Right now, Lively is loving the style of Florence + The Machine's lead singer, Florence Welch.

I love Florence Welch. She's pure magic. I always admire people who make really strong choices. When you do something bold, it's usually because you feel really good in it.

The young actress stars in Savages as O, the shared girlfriend of marijuana growers Ben (Aaron Johnson) and Chon (Taylor Kitsch), who is kidnapped by a Mexican drug cartel. Elena (Salma Hayek) is the queen of the cartel and is using O to maneuver her way into the Southern California territory where Ben and Chon sell.

My character is the one thread that ties everyone together, Lively told Entertainment Weekly. She is full of hope and love and life. She has experienced a lot of privilege, but she has also experienced a lot of pain.
