Kate Upton Dating Justin Verlander? Buxom Model Spotted With Detroit Tigers Pitcher Who Has A Longtime Girlfriend

Couple speculation alert! The latest of dating rumors involves Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander and Sports Illustrated 2012 Swimsuit issue cover model Kate Upton being involved, after the duo were spotted all over Detroit this past week. Problem is Verlander is a taken man, reported to have a longtime girlfriend!

According to Detroit Free Press, 29-year-old Verlander, who will be the pitcher for the American League at Wednesday night's Major League All-Star Game, has been linked to 20-year-old buxom model Upton. The rumor, for many, comes as no shock after the pair starred in two commercials together for the MLB 2K12 video game.

The report said a patron of Coyote Joe's in Detroit named Amanda Waynick saw the pair together and has photos to prove it. She first saw Verlander and tried to get a picture with him, since it was her 25^th birthday.

I went up to him, told him it was my birthday and that he was my Tiger and asked if he would take a picture with me, Waynick told Names & Faces Tuesday. He laughed, kind of walked by me, but he said no.

I was like, 'OK, fine, I don't want a picture with you anyway.' And he laughed at that, too.

That's when she saw Upton, whom she did not recognize at first, hanging with Verlander. Waynick asked the model for a photo.

She said happy birthday, posed for the picture, and that was really it, she said.

Waynick first shared her story with a local radio station, which obtained and posted photos of Verlander and Upton together from a distance, though the faces in the photo are undistinguishable.

Claims of Verlander and Upton dating are also bolstered by reports that they attended an Aerosmith concert at the Palace of Auburn Hills and a bar called South Bar together, both on Thursday. Upton was then in attendance for the Detroit Tigers game on Friday.

The reports of dating are scandalous, according to the Detroit Free Press, as Verlander has a longtime girlfriend named Emily Yuen.
